I remember seeing a piece with a chef doing a chocolate basket using a balloon to drizzle the chocolate over. Well, lesson learned....make sue the chocolate isn't too hot!! icon_eek.gif

My 3yr old twins were intently watching me as they don't see a balloon covered in chocolate everyday. All of the sudden POP!! They scream and I and my kitchen are covered in green chocolate!! My kids have it in their hair. Too funny!

Any idea if the Wilton green chocolate melts stain clothing?

What a morning.

That is hilarious!!! My daughter would have been scared out of her wits! I am sure the clothing will be fine.

I hope you have a great day! Sounds like it started with quite a bang! (I know... corny!!!!) LOL

LOL, I would have loved to have seen your faces! icon_lol.gif What a great picture that would make.

I have used balloons with chocolate, but dipped the bottoms of the balloon in melted choc. to make bowls. It was fun and they turned out really cute.

Sounds similar to something that happened to us! We make Buckeyes (or PB balls for you non-Ohioans!) every Christmas. Well, without a double boiler, we use the 2 pan method. Well, Dh and MIL didn't want to wait for me to get back from the store - notice *I* was NOT home! They picked 2 pans too close in size. The steam got trapped, and KA-BOOM! Explosion of chocolate everywhere! I'm still finding chocolate, and its been several years...

Man, chocolate on the ceiling, dog, floor, etc, etc...

Hugs to you!!!

OMG! Pooker!! Too funny!!! Isn't too bad we learn things the hard way. Well, I guess your DH and MIL learned the hard way icon_wink.gif

My DH made me a cake once and he tripped sending the cake and glass cake plate everywhere!! This was 7 years ago. We move a year and a half ago and found more cake! I wonder how long I'll be finding this green chocolate?

If we didn't have these mishaps then what storied would we tell? LOL!!

icon_lol.gif These are the great stories! I get to really laugh because I wasn't home...I always get to pick on DH. It ruined some clothing and such because there was paraffin in the chocolate. Wax does not come out!

Oh well...

Glad you are all ok! And do make sure you tell this often - they are great stories!

When my daughter was very small ( she's 21 now) I was making a chocolate cake and she wanted me to hold her while I was mixing with my portable mixer( now have a KA). So I was holding her on my hip so she could watch me mix and I don't know what happened but the mixer slipped out of my hand running full speed and chocolate batter went EVERYWHERE..I looked at my daughter and the look on her face was priceless and it was covered in chocolate. I wish I had a picture. Even though I had a big mess I laughed and laughed.
