Hello!

My hubby will be going to the above mentioned city for a business trip, and like any good little cake decorator would do, I have advised him that he must also visit the local cake supply shop to buy me some goodies! hee hee!

So, can anyone on here recommend a location with possibly an address that I can pass along? Gotta take advantage of this while I can!

Thanks everyone!

I'm 2.5hrs. north of Columbus, in Cleveland, so I can't speak to shops in that area.

I will say that if your DH will be in the area for a while, will have a car, and doesn't mind a bit of a drive, the place I would recommend is Sugarcraft in Hamilton, OH (2715 Dixie Hwy. (Rt. 4), Hamilton, OH 45015). It's about 100 miles (1.5hrs.) southwest of Columbus and from their website, they have everythig under the sun. You could send him with one heck of a shopping list.

This summer, we were coming home for Indianapolis on a Sunday afternoon and I was heartbroken to find out that the store was CLOSED--we went right by it! I'm going to an ICES day of sharing in Columbus in March and I'll be making the side-trip to Sugarcraft, believe me!

There's a cake shop in Akron...which might be on your way to Columbus. Check your route and see...

The place is called Grandma's Cupboard. If you would like the info, please let me know!!!

There are a couple shops in Columbus, one is Cake Craft, it's at 5436 Cleveland Ave and the other is Happy Hostess which is at 2892 Johnstown Rd, about 15 mins from Cake Craft and pretty close to the airport. These are the only ones I am aware of, they don't have anything too exciting or unusual, but Cake Craft has a lot of older wilton stuff you might not find anywhere else, especially some of the pans!

As for Sugarcraft, I have never been there but have heard lots of horror stories about their customer service ordering by internet/mail, so I would shy away from it myself! I know there is another big one in Cincy, can't find it now, will have to check on it and let you know.

If he's in Columbus he's only about 1-1/2 hrs from Country Kitchen in Ft. Wayne IN, too, if he wants to make a drive that's where I would go!
