Hasn't anyone seen my FD cake yet? I accidently put it in Contemporary Wedding cakes. I also have one in the 3D gallery under the police, military, & FD. No one has posted anything about it yet or on the pics. icon_cry.gif Well CarolAnn has. icon_smile.gif I hope it doesn't sound like I'm begging ya'll to look at my pics. I was just really excited to get them on & noone has commented yet. icon_sad.gif Thanks~ birthday.gif

I like it. I couldn't find the one in contemporary wedding cakes but I commented on the one in the military/police section.

I think it's very cute and especially like the fire border.

Job well done,
Suzanne M.

Hi Tina! Congratulations on your new job thumbs_up.gif ...it will be so great to do something you love and get paid for it. I saw your FD wedding cake. You got it soooo smooth! That must have been difficult. My favorite part was the ladders. I never would have thought to do that.

I saw the one in the military/ fire section and really liked it. I need to look at the one under contemporary cakes. Sorry I didn't comment sooner. I have been super busy. I will look when I get home tonight and comment!!! But I definitely liked the tiered cake I saw that was yours.

Oh, don't worry about it smiling1809! You did comment!! Thanks by the way. Like my sis tcrema said... I am a big baby!! icon_cry.gif I'm a person that needs extra encouragement or I loose faith in myself!! icon_lol.gif
The tier cake was my final cake of the Wilton 3rd course. I thought the fondant was going to be harder but it really wasn't.

Thanks Lisa! My hubby, kids & I volunter for the FD. I have tons of nicknacks & I'm at the FD nearly every day. So it was easy to come up w/ an idea. The icing was BC. I boiled a pot of water, would boil it again during the smoothing if it cooled off & I used the largest spatula I have. Calidawn gave me the directions. I would dip my spatula in the water then smooth the cake w/ it. It's so easy as long as that spatula is hot! I need a lot of practice for doing around the top of the edges. I keep getting them rounded. I want them straight. Other then that it's easy! I just had to practice ALOT!!

Thank you all!!!

I tend to not look unless it's brought to my attention And a link is provided. My computer (even with major cleaning and maintenance and even being whacked) takes 2-5 minutes to open a single picture. So I don't surf the gallery unless asked to.

I know it's rude of me, but until I get a new computer, this is my life..... It's also why I don't post a lot of pictures.

Do you have a web site where I can look?

Nope, I don't have a website Calidawn. Sorry~ Do you want me to send it to you from my email or would that still not work? I would love for you to see it so you can tell me what you think & give me tips on what you see wrong.

You've been out of town again haven't you? I haven't seen you online in a while.

Ok, look for the pics. I will send them later. Enjoy your nephews! I spoil my neices (2) & nephew big time!!!! We live 69 miles away from each other BUT the girls can't stay w/ me because we have a cat. They are very allergic to cats! It's my daughters cat so I dare not give it away. My neices are more important though! My nephew is only 3 so he won't come w/out his sisters. Before we got the cat they stayed here all the time. I miss them so much!!! I go see them when I'm not busy! It's hard for me to visit because my sister isn't a very good housekeeper... I can't stand a messy house & her's would win a world's record! Yuck!!

My boys live in Texas, about 1500 miles away. So this visit is precious. We should get them this summer also.
