Story behind this cake is that while I was making icing for this cake my hubby took a big piece of that, then I was like in"what am I do now?" situation.... icon_surprised.gif .
So I did this Pink Mess and hold pink silk flower on missing part and I am happy with that. icon_smile.gif

After decorating he was surprised and he gave a name for this cake is "Perfect Pink Mess"..........Not bad, right? icon_lol.gif

I've been told that cake decorating is not about how good you can decorate...but how well you can cover up a mistake!!! thumbs_up.gif you did a great job!!

Cake looks very pretty. I also can see where piece was taken away, but the flower put the icing back on the cake. Keep up the good work and can't turn your back on cakes. Put finish ones up and away, such as microwave, top of refrigerator or in frigerator and last but not least, the oven and if you put it in the oven, make sure to put a note to yourself that cake is in oven before turn oven on to do another cake. icon_smile.gifthumbs_up.gif

My Grandmother (bless her heart) loved warm cake, No icing, just cake. I had spent the night with her when I was younger and we baked a cake. It came out of the oven and she and I both had a piece. The next morning, my parents came to pick me up and Grandma offered them a piece of this whole cake beautifully iced. Hummmm How'd you do that Grandma?? She told me -just between us of course--she has been shoving papertowels in the wholes for years and icing over them LOL LOL LOL Just becareful to cut from the other side.

Our Grandma always has verity of tricks and tips.
Thats why I love these people. Talking and being with them for a while is a great experience.

I hope someday our grandchildrens will love us too.
