So what now do we restart the alphabet from here? I do not ever remember having this many storms!

THEY START AT "A" WITH THE GREEK ALPHABET. IT HAPPENED BACK IN I BELIEVE 1933 OR 1937. I CAN'T REMEMBER WHICH ONE.

Here we go again is right. Now we have to watch the weather very closely. I live in the tampa bay area and they keep saying that we have been lucky so far but one day we will run out of luck. I just hope that if it does hit here or anywhere in florida it will be a lower catorgory storm. As far as the names it does go to the greek alphabet starting with alpha. It has never happened before so this would be a first. right now we are tied with the 1933 records which was the highest.

This is actually the first time that they would have to use the Greek alphabet. The next one would be named Alpha. This is a record breaking season as Wilma is the 21st named storm, tying the seasonal record first set in 1933. Hurricane records date back to 1851. They actually started naming the storms in 1953 and they only used women's names until 1979.

I watch the weather using www.noaa.com

It is most informative and keeps me up to date so I can watch over my sister who still lives in Florida. Thank goodness my mother decided to finally move up north.

Check it out! I hope this may help all of you located along the Gulf and East coasts!!

Stay safe!
