If I got the gumpaste kit, does it come with enough instructions or should I take the course $$$ is the issue at the moment!
thanks
Good question I was thinking about buying one this week and see if i can teach myself. I'll let you know when I go get one!
I've taken the wilton courses and they don't really teach you to make gumpaste flowers. We did make fondant roses...but that's it. The rest is BC or royal flowers.
If you have the Wilton yearbooks and can follow the instructions w/the cakes.......the kit instructions are similar, so you shouldn't have a problem. I bought the kit and going to try the orcids this weekend.
I just joined Wilton course 3 so lets see what they will teach me.
But I like my current instructor. She is very helpful. So I am happy with her and thats the big thing for me.
Thanks

i took the gum paist class at micheals....not many instructors can teach that class. it really depends on how well you do at teaching yourself from a book. the wilton kit has a step by step booklet and all the tools. plus hobby lobby has a 50% off coupon on there website for any wilton products this week. that would make the cost only $10.00, so you should go for it. if you cant figure it out, you've only spent 10 bucks,,,, and remember you have this great site for help.
good luck
