I printed out the coupon, but there aren't any hobby lobby's near me. Does anyone know if Michael's or AC Moore accepts competitors coupons?

I've used the Hobby Lobby Ad at Michaels before, but have heard of people that have had trouble, so it may depend on the store.

If you are unsure of your stores policy, I'd go in and ask to speak to the manager and ask him/her if you can use it. Easier to do that before you do your shopping rather than after. Especailly if they won't except it. icon_smile.gif

Thanks, Texas sugar.

I was planning to ask when I go in, anyway. Just thought I'd check to see if anyone knew the real policy. There are 3 Michael's relatively close to me and all 3 tell me different things - from each other and from what they say previous times! Some accept competitors coupons, some don't. It seems to depend on what the manager who happens to be there says.

Happy baking!

I used to work at a Michael's, and from what I remember, they would match prices in other competitor's weekly ads, but would only accept AC Moore and JoAnn Fabrics discount coupons. Hope that helps!

Can anyone give me the link to the coupon? I just realized that there is a Hobby Lobby about 30minutes from me. I've never been there before but I'd like to give it a try with my coupon of course!

Hi all - I am new to this forum but have been lurking around for a couple of weeks and finally found a post that I can reply to. Went to town the other day with my Hobby Lobby coupon (150 miles away) looking for some hexagon pans as well and sure wasn't going to leave without them. Looked high and low at three different Hobby Lobby's and couldn't find any. Finally gave in and went to Michael's figuring I would have to pay full price but they were more than happy to take the coupon from Hobby Lobby. Ended up going back to the cake aisle and getting some more stuff.

Thanks to all for all the great information I have learned. Look forward to putting it to practice real soon.

I have noticed that whenever my hobby lobby has wilton items on sale that the selection DECREASES! I don't know if everyone just gets there before me and buys it all up or, It makes me wander if "select" items are removed from shelf. Last time they had the Wilton sale (not coupon, just sale) I got there like 30 minutes after they opened on the first day of the sale and there were NO cake pan sets. I was looking for square or hexagon or round. Heck I just wanted a set of pans. NOTHING, but I can't complain to much because I did save a lot on single pans and other supplies! I do LOVE hobby lobby.

I'm not sure but I have heard that before. I don't want to offend anyone but sometimes the people that work there do it. That way, they can get stuff themselves. I know it's an aweful thing to say, but I saw it done around Christmas and Toysrus. They have storage hidden above the shelves cover by a door that flips up. I was in the baby section and they had put a very "wanted" item up in there BEHIND other items. Well as soon as the coast was clear, I grabbed it. I understand the pull of doing it, but nothing makes me madder(?) than a store advertising something and you go there the first day of the sale, in the morning, and the items are gone? How's that?

I just looked at the AC Moore ad for this week and their advertised price for Wilton pans is 50% off regular price this week (starting today - Wednesday, thru next Tuesday). The ad says "select pans" though. Just wanted to pass that along!

Hobby Lobby in Clear Lake Texas gave me 50% off my entire purchase yesterday. The coupon says "Wilton Products," not "a Wilton product." You shouldn't have much trouble applying it to everything, I hope.

The Michaels and A C Moore in Columbia SC accepts competitor coupons. I just went to Hobby Lobby for the first time this past weekend to look at their cake decorating items.

I noticed that they are higher than Michaels which is slightly higher than A C Moore. Although their clearance items are a good buy.

Also you will need the coupon from the WWW, they do not have them available at the store. A lady was trying to purchase a large cake holder and the manager said she would have to have the coupon with her and they would not let her have this discount without it.

I went to hobby lobby yesterday and they would only allow the 50% off on one item ..so I had to pay regular price for my additional item...which wasn't too bad...

I just checked out the AC Moore ad in my area. They also have "select" Wilton pans 50% off. They ran the same sale a few weeks ago, it was almost all the pans except the character pans. They also had cooling racks and a few misc Wilton items. Pretty cool! thumbs_up.gif

Oh My goodness!

I just got home for two different Michaels stores - both accepted the Hobby Lobby coupons and gave me 50% off of EVERYTHING Wilton that I purchased!! I spent WAY too much, even with the 50% off!

I was especially excited because there are no Hobby Lobby's in my state!!

WOW! I've got a ton of stuff for my husband to give me for Christmas!!

Her in East Texas--my Hobby Lobby started to give me 50% off 1 item, but I pointed out that it didn't specify one item only. And the salesgirl agreed that it did say Wilton itemS. So I saved quite a bit. Thanks for the heads up on the coupon, I very rarely check Hobby Lobby because they are higher than Michael's.
