Okay, I can't wait to get this %$#@*& tapedshut.gif cake done with...but I'm STILL stumped for a design.

Has anyone done a Transformer cake or even a Robot cake that I can modify?? icon_confused.gif

Thanks...I'm losing sleep here! icon_mad.gif

Hey, the cookies are a good idea! icon_confused.gif

I have to have this cake lay flat, as it is travelling about an hour away....and the client is taking it.

This isn't a site for cakes but it's a tin robot site that might give you some ideas. icon_smile.gif http://www.neatstuff.net/space-robots/Space-robots.html

Maybe you could do an edible image on fondant and then apply like a picture or standup on the cake. I've been planning to try this method, but haven't done it yet. Janice

Ok I just posted my pictures of the Transformers Cake I did. I was hoping to do a 3-d however time ran out (or more like time never started)

I had this one stacked ready to carve is why it is so tall then had to change my plans mid-stream. So this would work really well on a sheet cake (which I would have done instead if I knew this is what I was going to end up doing)

But it was for my BF's nephew and he thought it was just awesome b/c it had Autobots on it icon_smile.gif

Any questions let me know. If you would like the artwork I freehanded from I still have it saved and can pass it along to you. Just PM me.

ok now it is posted for sure-thought it was and had it in the wrong format. Check under my photos for it.

Hope this helps a little-this was a very hard one for me to come up with ideas also.... I enjoy making more of the girly cakes icon_smile.gif But the nephews always challenge my imagination-so it is fun, although I had to do a lot of research on this one b/c I know nothing of transformers... so my BF was very helpful on this one.

I held my breath that my grandson was going to ask for these Transformers for his BD in July, but much to my relief he chose Spongebob.

More than likely I'd have used an edible image, this looks like a real big job to do sculpted or 3D. Be sure to post a photo when you get it done antonia, I'm looking forward to seeing how you work it out!

Yours is really nice, Leily a great idea. Janice

Thanks for all your encouragement everyone...notice it is 5am and I'm not up early...I'M STILL UP!

This client asks for interesting ideas for sure, but somehow they always stump me in their design.

Last time I did a very unsuccessful Lord of the Rings cake. It was a ring, but it had to serve 60 people??!! icon_confused.gificon_eek.gif

It ended up looking like a hemorrhoid pillow, because it had to be that big!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif Needless to say I didn't snap a photo of that gem.
