I know I have seen this post before, but wondering what everybody is charging for cupcakes? I have a huge order coming up for Halloween and the lady wants something festive or fancy. Her first idea was to put cupcakes in orange and black cups with orange and black frosting, then tie a ribbon around cups. Wants 8 dozen of these, I will do cupcakes but she will have to do the ribbon.

I also have done werewolf cupcakes and I am at a lost as to what to charge. Any thoughts???

I charge $15/dozen for my cupcakes. I use a lot of frosting so people don't mind paying that.

I'd go no less than $1 a cupcake. Yes grocery stores sale their's cheap, but they do the same with their cakes. They aren't personalized, or fresh cakes like you would create.

I'd probably charge $24-$30 for 2 dozen cupcakes. Which is what I would have to make since I use cake mixes, and would get that from a mix. You have to keep in mind how much it is going to cost you to do them.

$24 for simple decorations, such as a swirl with sprinkles. Up to $30 (or more) for more detailed designs, such as ones with candy melts, or something like figure piping.
