I've been looking into buy these off eBay or Amazon.com. Does anyone have these? Are they a worth buying & what is a fair price to pay?
Also I'm thinking about getting The Art of Sugarpaste Vol 1-3 books? Any comment on either series from you experts? Thanks!

I have the Wilton Way of Decorating books-I use them for ideas or just brousing-I find the more books I have the more ideas on something. Sometimes the way someone writes something doesn't make sense to me so I have another book to refer too and then it does (as long as not writtent the exact same way then I am twice as confused!) I got most of my books on ebay and for the price I think they are worth it--just my opinion. Hope that helps!

I do not know about the Wilton books. I have only bought 1 off E-bay and was so disgusted with it I do not even know where it is. As far as the Sugarpaste books go they are pretty good. Barnes & Noble has volume 1 for around $20 I was looking at it yesterday but did not buy it.

Another good book is "Kates Cake Decorating". And if you are in to more than decorating you might try:

The Professional Pastry Chef Bo Friberg
The Advanced Professional Pastry Chef Bo Friberg.

If you buy these off the shelf they are expensive around $65 to $70. You can get them off E-Bay for half that. It is where I got mine. And I would not give them up for anything they are my bibles so to speak.

WORD OF CAUTION HERE! If you purchase books off of E-Bay ask questions of the seller, plenty of questions to make sure it is what you want Find out:

Hardcover/Softcover
Number of Pages
Author
Publication Date

Go to sites that sell books such as Amazon.com and find out what they are selling the book for new. You do not want to pay twice the price for a used book especially when you could have bought that same book new for the used price.

Just some tips. Hope they help.
