I hope you stay too! I have begun looking forward to the photos of the pulled sugar art. And I agree with turtleshell, I would LOVE to see a tutorial on the pulled sugar. Hint....hint......HINT!
WHAT MY MOM USED TO SAY WAS IF YOU CAN'T SAY SOMETHING NICE DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL. I THINK SOME PEOPLE SHOULD FOLLOW THAT! THAT IS JUST MY TWO CENTS. THIS IS A GREAT SITE AND I AM SORRY THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE RUINING IT FOR OTHERS. CAKEROOKIE PLEASE DON'T GO!
Ok, ok. After reading this several times, and squirrleycakes words, I have to decided to actually become a member and post here. I have been reading the forums for months, to chicken to post anything. I just have to say this. I have never taken a lesson in my life, some of my cakes are great, some not so great. However, without everyone contributing to these forums, I would be lost. everyone adds something different and together they all add up to really appreciated advice. So thank you all, each and everyone of you.....
P.s. sugar art sure would be great to learn...
Ok....I have read this post and I haven't said anything so I figured it was my turn...
I have only been a member her for a few months, but it feels longer. I was so hesitant on posting my pics, because I have never taken any classes...all of mine is self taught. I have always been taught to take any negative things as a grain of salt. I have noticed that there are a few people who say critical things, but yet, I dont let it get to me. i just brush it off and continue. It doesn't matter what your cakes look like, always give yourself a pat on the back... You have to take pride in you work...God knows I do, even when you can see the cake crumbs thru the icing..lol But I post, in hopes to find someone that will give me something to grow on. I have learned so much here..don't let a few bad apples ruin it!! I promise, there are more good apples here then bad!! Keep your chin up CakeRookie...don't go anywhere..and besides it's not nice to run away from family Hope you change your mind...
Hugs
Beth
Hey! cakerookie has not left. You are not going to get rid of me that easy. I changed my forum name to better fit what I practice all the time. Hey, new name, new attitude and a great bunch of people that does not give up on anyone. Everyone here is great. Thank You.
Hey SugarCreations, cool! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to know how you do what you do. My DH and I would love to take a pulled sugar class but none are offered where we live.
You keep on showing and telling us what you do and maybe just maybe I'll be able to try!
Amy
Quite alright. I mean after all we cannot see each other here, huh. Cakemommy you just let me know when you want to try a batch and I will be happy to help all I can. Oh, and check out our new forum Pulled and Blown Sugar.
I would love to learn pull sugar.
Can you post a little something on it to help get those of us who are interested in it get started?
Sugarcreations - (snappy name by the way )
I have to tell you, honestly, I love the pulled sugar. I thought the contest in Las Vegas on the Food Channel where they did it was awesome, but it looks terrifying. Maybe you could hold our hands and walk us through some of it. Glad you're staying.
Joan
Well, first of all theres this equipment issue. There are some things you will need before you begin. I will post it in our new forum for you if thats ok. I love it, the new forum that is...............
What is the new forum?
I haven't been on here much since my modem went up...waiting for Dell to send a tech in to fix...have to wait until my son is finished with his to get on.
Trully missing CC full time
Heehee and a gender change to boot! Well not really, but sorry if we referred to you as a lady. Hhmn, we seem to mess up on that one a lot lately....

SquirrellyCakes--
I guess it's just hard for us girls to think that a guy can do this. But I have seen some mighty awesome things done by men. So my hat is off to Sugar Creations. Keep the sugar coming, sugar!!! Ha! Ha!!!
Heehee, I think Jackie will have to consider a gender choice on the profiles so we don't offend anyone else!
Funny thing is, at one time, this was a male dominated profession, still is in some parts of the world.

I am extremely happy to announce that we now have a Pulled and Blown Sugar Forum! I cannot get over it. I love it. I have so much information I want to put on that forum it is unreal. But I do not know where to start.Everyone lets make this forum popular so Jackie won't regret adding it.
