Ok, ok. After reading this several times, and squirrleycakes words, I have to decided to actually become a member and post here. I have been reading the forums for months, to chicken to post anything. I just have to say this. I have never taken a lesson in my life, some of my cakes are great, some not so great. However, without everyone contributing to these forums, I would be lost. everyone adds something different and together they all add up to really appreciated advice. So thank you all, each and everyone of you.....
P.s. sugar art sure would be great to learn...

Ok....I have read this post and I haven't said anything so I figured it was my turn... icon_rolleyes.gif
I have only been a member her for a few months, but it feels longer. I was so hesitant on posting my pics, because I have never taken any classes...all of mine is self taught. I have always been taught to take any negative things as a grain of salt. I have noticed that there are a few people who say critical things, but yet, I dont let it get to me. i just brush it off and continue. It doesn't matter what your cakes look like, always give yourself a pat on the back... thumbs_up.gif You have to take pride in you work...God knows I do, even when you can see the cake crumbs thru the icing..lol But I post, in hopes to find someone that will give me something to grow on. I have learned so much here..don't let a few bad apples ruin it!! I promise, there are more good apples here then bad!! Keep your chin up CakeRookie...don't go anywhere..and besides it's not nice to run away from family icon_wink.gificon_wink.gif Hope you change your mind...

Hugs
Beth

Hey SugarCreations, cool! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to know how you do what you do. My DH and I would love to take a pulled sugar class but none are offered where we live. icon_cry.gif

You keep on showing and telling us what you do and maybe just maybe I'll be able to try!

Sugarcreations - (snappy name by the way icon_wink.gif )
I have to tell you, honestly, I love the pulled sugar. I thought the contest in Las Vegas on the Food Channel where they did it was awesome, but it looks terrifying. icon_eek.gif Maybe you could hold our hands and walk us through some of it. Glad you're staying.

SquirrellyCakes--
I guess it's just hard for us girls to think that a guy can do this. But I have seen some mighty awesome things done by men. So my hat is off to Sugar Creations. Keep the sugar coming, sugar!!! Ha! Ha!!!

Heehee, I think Jackie will have to consider a gender choice on the profiles so we don't offend anyone else!
Funny thing is, at one time, this was a male dominated profession, still is in some parts of the world.
