I am planning to do my first BCT for my mom's B-day on 10/22 and she loves the Wicked Witch so I want to do one of the following two! Is this going to be too hard???? Any tips or tricks I need to know???

How hard that BCT would be totally depends on your skill level with decorating overall.

I have done about 4 BCTs .... two of which are posted in my profile here on the site. One was Sailor Moon (the Japanese Anime character), the other was of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. Both are cartoon characters, therefore fairly simple in overall shape and decor. However, it is the little details that are very difficult. I wonder how, if I were in your shoes, I would be able to get the facial details correct with frosting. Personally, i wouldn't be able to pull it off ... but others might.

If you are a highly skilled decorator, you could always try this ahead of time and see how it comes out. Or, see if you can find a picture of the witch in a coloring book and see if maybe that might be a little easier to trace and fill.
