Ok to make a long story short ..We got our Pup (buster) from a "friend" who didn't have time for him..She doesn't work and neither does her hubby and they are always home??? Anyhow he has just fit in with our family like he never was anywhere else !! So here's the question part..He'll be 1 the 4th of November does anyone have a recipe for a cake and icing that would be ok for him? I know no Chocolate or Onions! I feel he needs this celebration especialy after the fact that I'm making him be Elvis for Halloween! Thanks And sorry about the long story..

Cat & Dog Mini Cakes Recipe
Ingredients:

2 c. Whole wheat flour
1/2 c. Soybean flour
1 c. Skimmed milk or water
1 T. Honey
1 T. Canola or sunflower oil
1 tsp. Sea salt

Mix dry ingredients. Add liquid and honey. Mix and let the dough rest in a warm place for 15 minutes. Add oil and allow to sit another 1/2 hour. Take walnut size portions of dough and flatten into small cakes. Bake in oven at 400 for 1/2 hour. For cats, roll dough into 1/4" thickness and bake on a sheet scored into small sections 1/4" square or smaller.

I am in no way affiliated with these people, but if you sign up for their "Tummy Rub Club", you get free dog treat recipes in their email newsletters. It's a pretty cute site to browse through too. icon_smile.gif

They have a dog treat cookbook for sale too!
