I love it! Yes, it's gross but it's also great! I'd eat it! Gotta love a sense of humor! I've seen a lot of cakes that might not fit my personal taste but you can't deny someone their right to be creative in a way that suits them.

I am by no means an expert ( look at my pictures they tell the tale ). I don't think any of us here are in a position to pass judgement on someone's else creations. Being creative is a matter of taste. I personally don't think that I would ever be able to make or eat this cake. However, I know a lot of people that would think that it is wonderful.

I would hope that in the future... we could all remember that we should treat others as we would want to be treated!

IMHO!!!!!!!

I think a lot of us (particularly myself?) have let our sensitivities and defensiveness heighten due to something rather silly, and someone who's goal (I believe) was to do just that.

I would like to apologize for reacting as I did, as I can see that this will only destroy this loving community if everyone has to guard themselves to the point of extreme censorship.

If I offended anyone, I truly am sorry. I am going through something personally right now (as I'm sure many here are) and let it effect me in other areas. I do not want everyone here to think that everyone else is out to get them, and I hope that we can stay a positive 'family' for each other.

Good Grief Charlie Brown..................can we just get on with our lives and our cakes and our family and our fun and drop the subject? icon_smile.gif I'm kinda new to the CC Forum (actually to any forum) and was really enjoying reading some of the other subjects and then came across this one. If it had been the first one I looked at, I would never have joined in. icon_sad.gif I know that they can be fun and realize this was just something that got way out of hand. I don't know any of you as I am new but it seems that Eve just wanted to stir trouble icon_evil.gif and obviously she got her way. I'm using the "Poop Cake" to threaten my grandkids and friends. icon_twisted.gif If they aren't nice to be I now have a way of getting even. LOL Like someone else said, it is no worse than the kitty litter cake or some of the "naughty cakes". Depends on how broad our minds can be. Mine tends to be as broad as my backside most times and that's definitely BROAD! Let's get on with having fun" thumbs_up.gif

icon_confused.gif Wow. This cake is becoming the the "S**t heard around the world", huh? I think it has it's own merit and level as does any cake, and if you feel it's beneath you, that's fine. But that does not mean that it's ok to declare quite openly that anyone who does appreciate or even accept it is automatically beneath you. It's uncalled for, not to mention judmental and wrong.

I also don't agree with attacking anyone back, either (because it really won't help anything and makes us no better). However, if something is an on-going problem then we should have the right to say something!

My question is, has anyone first PM'd Eve to find out why she is acting this way rather than attacking her back on the boards, and if not, that may be something to keep in mind for next time. If the personal approach doesn't work, then PM the admins, but don't repeat her mistakes, I think that kind of takes away from any kind of point you would have been able to make, because now, you become guilty of it yourself. Just my opinion.

Sorry for the long post.

also, the cake is hilarious.... thank you. icon_razz.gif

icon_biggrin.gif Hubby viewed the cake and he really appreciates the talent that went into making it! He thought the flies were a great touch too! thumbs_up.gif

I think as a cake community we should support each other in whatever way possible, and if that's for us $%#t heads to stick together, well then so be it! (If you all don't know me by now, I do have a great sense of humor and I would never insult anyone intentionally)

I love seeing all the cakes presented here by beginners to the professionals, and if someone makes the attempt to design and decorate any cake, Hats Off To Them! Everyone has differing opinions and that's alright, that's what makes it so diverse. And I believe we all should be positive with our criticism, I always try to be and if asked someone aks for my opinion I'll give it.

My son is now interested in decorating cakes, he drives long haul and was viewing cakes yesterday with me. Yes, he viewed this post and thought the cake would be a great "gag" cake for someone he knows..he gets his sense of humor from me!

Keep up the good work people, lets go up from here!!!

as always it is a pleasure to share with people who love to bake and decorate, even if our taste in looks is different. thanks for the kind words on the cakes. it was a lot of fun to make them and even more fun giving them to my MIL.
