Last winter I purchased the star cookie cutters -- the ones with the different sizes of stars where you stack the cookies to look like a tree. I hope that describes it clearly! icon_wink.gif

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone here has used these to mold chocolate and make a chocolate tree? I'm thinking of doing this around Christmas time, but I don't know if it will work.

I do a lot of chocolate work this is the way I do cookie cutter chocolate
I prefer to cover the bottom of the cookie cutter with wax paper then fill the cookie cutter with the chocolate while on a cookie sheet. I wouldn't fill it to the top just half way. When you get them all filled tap the cookie sheet so the chocolate is even and flat. refrigerate until hardened and remove from cookie cutter.

That's great advice. I would never have thought about putting the waxed paper right on the cookie cutter, but that makes sense. I was worried about the chocolate running out from underneath the cutter if I just put it on a tray and filled it.

Thanks!
