Hi Ladies,

What kind of icing do you use/prefer for wedding cakes? Butter cream? Whipped? I have my first wedding cake order... I have some time till the big day but I figure I might as well start doing my homework now. If possible can u email me ur favorite icing recipes?? It will be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,
Mimi

I personally have not done a wedding cake, but have been to many many weddings, and I have to say out of the 8 I have been too in the last 5 years half were a type of bc and a few were whipped frosting, and a couple were chocolate.

thumbs_up.gif I have made a few birthday cakes for family and I use the Wilton buttercream icing recipe and then I add 3 tsp of cake flour, it is so good dont forget your flavoring that your are going to use in your icing.
