This website inspires me every day! I tried this cake as a test run for a cake that I have to do in a couple of weeks. My first foray into fondant! It was tricky at first, but I think I am going to grow to love working with fondant. I am very happy with how my cake turned out. Wow that looks great! You'd never know it was your first try. I am starting to love working with fondant too. I used to dread it but lately I've been getting more practice and I actually prefer using it rather than buttercream now.

Thanks for all the nice words. The cake is the White Almond Sour Cream recipe from CC -- soooo awesome. The bottom tier is filled with raspberry jam and the top tier is filled with nutella. The MMF is ntertayneme's recipe here on CC. Thanks for looking!
I use Plastic icing (fondant) on all my wedding cakes and on some of my birthday cakes and i think that it is a great icing that you can do anything with. I also use it to make my flowers and figurines.
Very well done if that your first time covering a cake with it! Im impressed!
