Can you spot the mistake? I didn't, but now, I have a paper next to my cake with exactly the right spelling and wording!

Did you leave the "N" off of congratulations?

I never would have noticed it if it weren't for you pointing it out.

Did the customer even notice?

The cake looks so beautiful.

LOL I guess we have had this problem. When I did a over the hill cake. I wanted it to say" Here lies your youth ". I first had " Here lies your your". I had to scrape it off aswell.. I hate when this happens!

The Wilton "full Sheet" with 2, 6" hearts, done with basketweave and purple wisteria.

You mean to tell me that Birtday has an "H"..hahahah!

* Diva being silly

I've done my share of "scraping"..lol

Reminds me of the Donald's Apprentice episode where one of The ladies apparently had an event planner background. Caroline ate a piece of the cake then asked what's it read? And proceeded to point out a spelling error. The poor chick got fired. I did not think she should have been the one to get fired.

cracked me up!!! icon_razz.gificon_lol.gificon_rolleyes.gif If I'd been the over the hill recipient, I'd have been standing in front of the cake for a few minutes going..."...your..ummm...your what?? somebody tell me!!" 'Here lies your your' reads like a stutter or something. Every time I read it a little giggle bubbles up...don't know why...I must stop reading it!! lol I'd definitely deserve the OTH title if it were my bday cake!! Heck, I deserve it now, even though I'm only 31! HAAA HAAA!

ThePastryDiva: I'm sure if the customer did notice they were just very gracious and didn't even think of mentioning it because it was such a beautiful, perfectly executed cake. It all looks so precise and pretty....how could they say something about one little letter missing? icon_wink.gificon_smile.gif
