Need to make a full batch of NFSC, however only have two sticks of butter, but have two sticks of (Blue Bonnett) margerine. Can I use the margerine with the butter and still get a successful cookie?! icon_eek.gif

Short answer, yes. Now, the cookies will not be as tasty (in my opinion) as the ones with total butter but I have done it before. My kids say they can't tell the difference but I can. I still think you'll have a good tasting cookie. One more thing, I don't know how much water is in Blue Bonnet butter but a margerine with no water added is better because water can make the cookies spread. I think you'll be okay though even if the margarine has water in it.

Good luck!

That is all I ever used to use, is the blue bonnet/imperial margarine, until I read that if you use marg you should use the kind that has 100 calories per TBSP (something like that), and I think the blue bonnet only has 80 cal. But anyways, my point is that I have used that marg. for years and my cookies were always good! icon_biggrin.gif
