Has anyone seen Squirrellycakes around here lately? I know I haven't, but wondering if I've missed something over the past few weeks. Hope she's doing ok.

Nothings wrong w/ Squirrelly! This weekend is Canada's Thanksgiving. She has family over this weekend so she is very busy baking, eating, & visiting! She'll be back after all the family has left & her house is back to normal~ Da Momma of Cakes won't be gone long~

You know, I was wondering the same thing myself. I haven't been a member on this board for to long so forgive my ignorance, but could tell there is much knowledge there. Glad to hear all is well and look forward to reading more advice in future.

Funny, yesterday I wondered what had happened to her I always read her posts and hadn't seen any lately...

Sorry folks, I am fine. Just have a personal property issue with a neighbour that I thought was resolved last week when it went before a city planning commission and we won with the suppport of the majority of our neighbours. But my relief was short-lived because he is pulling another stunt and apparently the city is going to allow him to re-hash the decision at City Hall, something that is never allowed after a decision is made. So we have been busy with this mess once again. And I am not sleeping much, I hate this stuff. But I hope to get it resolved soon.
Thanks, yes, we had the gang here for Thanksgiving. That was really nice.
Just one of those times in life when one thing after another goes wrong and you wonder if it will ever end, haha! I know it will, but sometimes it just takes all you can to make it through.

Awwh, thanks Cupcakes, I would just settle for some peace of mind right about now. Long story, but unfortunate too because of the way it was handled. If people were only upfront and honest and considerate of others, it would all be so much easier.

Awhh, thanks Beth. I think the worst of it, is no matter how it is resolved, the rift between us will not be. I have never not gotten along with a neighbour, so this is a first for me. We tolerated a lot and kept our mouths shut, but the way he snuck around about this without telling us, will affect our property value if it is allowed to go through. It has been a long drawn out case and I hope it is over with soon. But we will not be friends afterwards no matter which side wins and that is the worst of it for me. So there will be a lot of resentment if he wins and no joy in it, if we do.

I know the feeling of having awful neighbors. Everyday you walk out the door, it's like a huge weight put on shoulders. I lived like that for almost ten years. We just moved about a year ago and now it's like everytime I walk out of my door, I'm skipping. Not financially, but that's a whole nother issue! Sorry you have to deal with it.

I love ya Sqrirrelly and have missed you also. Wouldn't ya sometimes just like to live on top of a big mountain with just the bears, chipmunks and (squirrells) for neighbors, it would be so much easier. Big hugs

Haha Irisinbloom, yes sometimes I do think I would like to live somewhere isolated from everyone, but then I would miss most people, haha! I do love the critters though. The only motive they have is to get something to eat, no hidden agendas.
Well good for you, getting out of that situation, Vitade, I can just imagine the relief you feel. The sad part is the original owner was the nicest lady you would ever want to meet. Funny thing is once she had sold the house she came over and said she was worried we would have trouble with the new owner. Hhhmn, she was right!
We hope to get a final decision on this issue this week.
