has anyone used cake filling as a binder? I have 1/2 a 9" square layer and some scraps. It is white chocolate flavored...kind of. Will it be good to mix with lemon filling? I think the lemon might overwhelm the cake. I'll dip them in white candy melts...

i like to add a little half & half into mine.. yummy.. i just made some shaped like hershey kisses and wrapped them in foil.. i make them about 3 inches tall...(see photos).. i like them frozen or very cold..
brought them to work and they were gone in seconds..

i think the lemon would really overwhelm the cake.. if it was a yellow/white/vanilla flavored cake then the lemon would taste good i think...

it doesn't really taste like white chocolate, it is white cake with white chocolate pudding...

I want to try them too. I haven't made any sculpted cakes yet or anything that has left me with alot of leftover cake, so I haven't tried them. I'm thinking of just making some straight out just to see how they are.

has anyone made filled cake balls? I could mix the cake with some creamer, make balls, put the injector tip on a pastry bag, pipe some lemon filling into the ball, dip in candy melts??

lol! hmm, sounds like too much work!

a filled cake ball might be too sweet for me... and a lot of work.. but very creative!!
