I have emailed twice but not gotten a response yet. I have not received magazines but I am so glad that some of you have. I will let you know if I get any satisfaction. I am starting to wonder if this is really worth it. I just renewed 2 months ago so I will persue it for now, since I have not even received a magazine yet.

I too had a bit of a problem with my subscription. I moved but did receive the June/July issue here at my new address. Then all of a sudden I didn't get anything, so I went to their web site and sent an e-mail. I received immediate response and the last 2 issues were sent and I have already received them. I found the customer service to be excellent. Try going to the web site and sending an e-mail. It worked for me icon_lol.gif

I took me 3 months to get first issue after I paid. I paid on Amazon. I'm shocked at how that buisness is run. I thought it was just my bad luck again. I have had to call two times about monthlys I've not recievedicon_sad.gif
However I just got Oct/Nov yesterdayicon_smile.gif Cute fall things in it.

I just spoke with them and they stated that they are having trouble with their bulk mail system. It is taking longer than usual. But if you guys call them, they will make sure that you get your current issue and a few back issues.

I can't wait. I have been waiting since May, and I am thankful to whomever started this thread.

I wanted to get these subsciptions. . .but I'm a little hesitant now icon_confused.gif

Darn!

The good thing, is that my Barnes & Noble's carries various English magazines from time to time, so I try to keep an eye out for them.
They're really good magazines! Just a little costly, about $12.00, but
for me it's worth it icon_biggrin.gif

I emailed them and called. If I had checked my email before I made the call the call would have been unnecessary. They assured me that they would get my Oct/Nov issue of ACD out to me and that MBN didn't start until Nov. So we will see what happens.

You know guys after reading this thread..... I ordered a subscription to ACD about 2 years ago. It seems like it was a little cheaper then, than it is now, but anyway, we moved not long after that, and I was reading these and realized I never got another issue! I only got one, and that was it. I wonder if it's too late to do anything about it now? I know it's been a long time, but I still paid for it, so...... What do you guys think?

Did you send in a change of address form when you moved?

No, but I had all my mail forwarded. I think the post office forwards magazines for like 3 months, and everything else for a year. I know they dont forward catalogs. But I never got anything else.

I would call them and ask them what you can do. There may not be anything... but all they can do is say no!! It is worth a shot.

Wow with all the problems everyone seems to have getting their magazines from these 2 companies I don't think I'll be subscribing to either of them. That's too bad..I wanted to check them out & I haven't seen them on the newstand in the bookstores ever.

Does anybody know of a bookstore that carries either of the magazines?? And are there any other cake decorating magazines I'm not aware of??

I got my ACD last week. I always have gotten it around the 14th. I think, they should be more reliable because ACD & MBN are good mag, but they might loose a lot of costumers if things doesn't get better.

Just thought I would add this to the conversation....

I subscribed to ACD and MB News at the convention at the same time. I had a past subscription 2 years ago that I let lapse beucase I didn't have extra money when it was time to renew. I have since moved, but can still get mail at the previous adress (Parent's addy).

When I subscribed at ICES, I used my new address and filled out the form for both mags. Well I got the MB News last month at my new address and have waiting for the ACD. Well it arrived today, BUT it arrived to my old address.

It's not a big issue for me because I do still get other mail here, and pick it up often. But if any of you have moved or had past subscriptions under a different address and aren't getting your mags you may want to call them and question them on it. icon_smile.gif

I just got through the hurricane!!!! The mail comes, and I am feeling good. No phone, no power but the good old mail, some kind of normalcy. The first envelope is a bill that it is time to renew my subscription to American Cake.!!! I can't believe it!!!! I have emailed, I have called and been told yes, my subscription has been renewed everything is fine and then even through a hurricane I get this bill for a magazine I paid for on August 1, 2 months early, so that I wouldn't miss a magazine. I oficially give up on this magazine and Mail Box News. Probably in the future I am going to laugh about this bill getting to me without having power or phone no gas and all the damage we have had to sustain in Florida. I am glad to have made it this far and to begin the clean up so I am thankful for that. I am also thankful to come back to Cake Central my fav. site and all of the wonderful friends I have made here. It is so good to be back.

I'm getting my American Cake Decorating magazines, but I've never received the Mailbox News. I emailed and received a reply stating they thought we wasn't getting mail here... I explained we were and wanted to know why I had not received the Mailbox News. She told me I'd be receiving them soon.. well I got the magazine but still no Mailbox News .. I just don't understand them ... how often are the Mailbox News mailed?
