We got a call today from the lady who owns the vacant lot next door. We have been trying to get her to sell this property to use for over a year and it was always..."no, I'm selling all my available property to developers only" 
So we had given up on it and decided to go w/building me a kitchen!! Well she called us today and offered us the property!!! 
No way we can pass it up, our lot is small and could use the extra lot. But her asking price is the same as what we were planning to spend on the kitchen!!
We had appointments set up for next week to get financing for the kitchen...guess it will be for the lot now. But this pushes my kitchen back by a couple years!! 
Guess this gives me more time to build up clients. Still a bummer though, I had 'big' plans/dreams for my space and was getting excited b/c I could possibly be licensed in the next 6-9 months!!!
Oh well, at least now we will have the extra lot and eventually my own kitchen!!
