I've been asked to do cupcakes for a baby boy shower. The napkins have airplanes, cars, and trains on them. I was hoping to do a cupcake cake and some cupcakes. Any ideas? How should I decorate the cupcakes? Thanks!

Why don't you do a CCC like Jay Jay the Jetplane or something. He is really primary for small kids! Here are a few pictures.

If you have the cupcake stand, how about icing them in whatever the background color is on the napkins and putting some of each of the three as decorations. Then just place them randomly on the stand.

OR did you want to do the cupcake cake and pull apart method? If so, I would pick one of the three and make it shaped as such and then extra cpcakes could have baby items on them.

(just some thoughts to get the juices flowing)

Houw about icing the cupcake any color that you find suitable for the party. The, buy a box of the mini vanilla wafers. I use the food markers to put a face on the cookie. Place the cookie on top of the iced cupcake and then with tip 233 put some hair on the little baby face. It is really easy to do. Hope that gives you some ideas. It does look great in a cup cake stand. Wilton has the one that holds 13 cupcakes now.

I do a lot of them with little chocolates on top. Just swirled icing on the cupcakes and then put a chocolate on top. I did some for a first birthday witha bunny theme so made little choc bunnies.. I have done them with flowers and hearts etc.

I am going to buy that cupcake stand in the next few days for sure. Thanks to your ideas, I think that I will ice the cupcakes with a roayl blue swirl (that's the background color of the napkins). I made my very first batch of marshmallow fondant last night and I love that stuff! So I traced the figures from the party napkins-a plane, a car, and a train and cut them out of the fondant and I will decorate them tonight and then stick them on alternating cupcakes along with some stars(also on the napkins).I think I might also do a cupcake cake and do a buttercream transfer of the vehicles on it. Thanks again for your ideas! Any others would still be appreciated, the party is this weekend.
