For those interested in purchasing sugar equipment, I can also recommend calling the Wilton School in Darien, IL. The equipment offered IS NOT available through Wilton Industries. The items were "designed" by the sugar instructror at the school. The sugar warming box with heat lamp, etc. runs about $375. They also have a sugar shaker, isomalt, blowing tubes, etc. at very, very reasonable prices and they will ship.

I"m going to school to get the dimensions of the box at school and making my own.

It's really not hard. 3 pieces of plexiglass the size of a piano hinge.

A top a bottom with "L" brackets 6 of them to hold the top and bottom.

A slit on the top for the heat lamp...

and done...hahahah

Cheaper to make your own equipment. You can make your entire station for $100.00 as compared to $600.00 for a professional station. You can get most of what you need at any hardware store. For example a warming box is going to run you around $300.00 you can make one for way less. Not trying to discourage anyone from buying the professional stuff but why spend that kind of money when you do not have to. So you have about $1000.00 invested in the professional stuff save $900.00 and make your own.

That is a pretty good site been there myself a few times. Pictures are one thing doing it is another.
