I'm making this tonight to decorate a stacked cake. The bottom is 10" round (2 layer) and the top is 6" round (2 layer). Will one batch be enough or will I need to make 2?

I have the recipe and instructions but since I'm going to use it right away can I just let it cool, then roll it out or do I still need to wrap it in Saran?

Can someone try and explain the correct texture to me so I'll know when to stop trying to add more sugar?

I made one large batch for my final class - 1 x 10" and 1 x 6", and had a little left over.

I just let it cool in Saran wrap and then used it after about one hour.

I found that when it all held together (kind of like Playdoh), it had enough.
