Hi everyone, sorry I've been missing for a while. There are so many new members on here now that you probably didn't notice, but I sure did miss you guys!!!

There's a lot going on around here. My sister just got engaged, but she's now expecting so they're getting married in January. This seems to happen a lot in my family, ahem.

My sister needs a lot of help planning things, she's kind of helpless. I feel a big responsibility to help her because I'm the oldest sibling and my father passed away and my mom has manic depression. To make matters worse, all the stress lately has put my mom into a bad episode.

I've been calling around nonstop all week to get estimates on everything. But she's got to call the minister and I'm not doing anything else until she does that. I'm going to be making the cake (my first wedding cake), that's keeping me going.

I never had a problem sleeping in my life, but I've been an insomniac for the last week now. Sorry for the novel, just needed some moral support...

i have to say i kind of understand. my brother (20) told us last week they were getting married in July next year. he called this week to let us all know that they decided to do it NEXT WEEK. They are in OK and there is no way I can get there... To make it worse my parents are like whatever they want to do is ok with us... grrr so i have been a little stressed about that. Of course we miss you here. If you need help or just want to vent let us know! hugs

smae thing happened to me...sister was engaged then ahem the baby happened ...so they rushed and got married I had a week notice.....

Months later.....the baby is born she happily married and shes like so when are you throwing me my bachorlette party.....Im like WHAT go to the strip club on your own time!! You had your chance....then we just laugh

so my point is you will look back and laugh one day!!

Take a deep breath...slow down...don't over stress yourself, everything will fall into place.

Don't worry too much about it Polishmommy. There is still plenty of time to plan the wedding!! Just consider yourself lucky that you got more than a week's notice, like poor lastingmoments and Bonni, to help out your sister!!! Imagine what they must've gone through in that week!!

Thanks everyone. I guess it could be a lot worse, January is 3 months away. I would be dying if they said next week!!! I just need to take a deep breath...everything will be ok.
