Hi everybody!
First off I am gonna feel like a real dumbell if I am the only one who experiences the outcome I got. LOL
Ok....recently I purchased the DH Halloween Trick or treat cake mix...Spooky fudge swirl. No reason, just for fun.
Well, tonight I baked it. It looked fine. Baked fine, rose fine, everything is fine. Iced it fine. But when I went to cut into it...it crumbled all to pieces. I am sitting here with a big ol pile of orange and brown crumbs on my plate. My husband said...that doesn't even resemble cake!
So, if you purchase this product. Buy an extra..if you can. Just to make sure it turns out ok.
It tasted good. Like the marble cake mix. But just didn't hold together. I just don't understand how this could have happened? I even just now double checked to make sure I didn't omit anything. But I didn't.
Oh well....I don't mind eating crumbs. Just wouldn't have wanted to serve this crumbly mess. LOL

Thanks for the heads up, I bought one of those too,
just for fun! I thought my grandson would like his halloween cake made with it. I'll watch it carefully when I use it! Thanks again, Janice
missmersh.. I would call the company and let them know about your experience. I find that they really appreciate the feedback and they will probably send you coupons for free cake mix !!
Janice, let me know if yours does better. It may have just been a bad box.
Lastingmoments....I have another box and if the same thing happens, i will definitely make some cake balls. LOL
Gingoodies, Than you for the suggestion. I think I will do JUST that!!!
I also checked the expiration date to make sure and it doesn't expire until Aug 2006.
Oh well, it still tasted great!!!
