I am having a hard time pricing my decorated sugar cookies. I made three kinds of cookies for a tailgating party on Saturday for the mother of a friend. She wanted two dozen. I made footballs, football helmets with the name of the school, and a square cookie with a school emblem on it. The cookies are an average size and are decorated with color flow. What is the going rate for this type cookie?

Why don't you make it really easy on yourself and charge about 50 cents per inch, decorated?

I'd say no less than a $1 a cookie, and would charge more for larger sized cookies.

I charge from a $1.00 to $6.00 depending on size and the amount of decoration.

Hi there, I have figured up my cost and time and this is what I come up with for my pricing. Now this is basic icing decorations. If they want elaborate I would add more per cookie,

1" - $9/dz
2" - $18/dz
3" - $24/dz
4" - $36/dz

If you haven't charged for these before, DO NOT undersell yourself. They really do take more time to do than most people think, or beleive, they do.

Good luck.

Leily
