This maybe a stupid question, but what are cake balls and how do you make them? They do sound good using Amaretto. thumbs_up.gif

Cake balls are so yummy! I make them using the left over scraps from my leveled cakes or cakes that I've carved. Crumble the cake into small bits and mix it with buttercream frosting, enough to make a doughy ball. I use my hands to roll out a ball shape about the size of a small golf ball.

You can add any flavors or extras like nuts or candies to the dough mixture. Then I melt Wilton's candy melts and dip the cake balls into that. Let them dry on wax paper until firm. I then like to freeze them to make them really cold but they can go in the fridge too.
Super easy and a great way to use up those cake scraps.
Enjoy!
