What is the longest amount of time you have frozen NFSC DOUGH?
What about NFSCookies? I am doing 300 cookies for a wedding at the end of April and was wondering how far in advance I could make the dough and/or cookies and freeze them.
I don't want to be making 300 cookies at the last minute because I am also doing the cakes for the wedding.
I don't know about freezing the dough, as I've never done that. But freezing cookies is a different story. I know that if properly sealed, they'll stay fresh for months. If I know they'll be in the freezer a along time, I will seal them in ziplocks, and then put them in a Rubbermaid container. The container helps to keep them from getting broken, in case my kids throw something in on top of them.
I usually make 4-5 batches of NFSC when I am making them. Store them in the fridge in ziploc bags. Use them within a day or two and then always freeze the cookies after they have baked. I haven't stored them longer than a month in the freezer but more so because I use them all before they have time to possibly turn bad I have 98 in the freezer today for Valentine's and I made 100 more and put them in the freezer this afternoon! They always taste like they were freshly made
