I was just looking through the "Events" gallery and saw the photos of the Sports Cake Challenge from Food Network. Does anyone happen to know when that will air or if it will be airing soon at all? I love the cake challenges they have and I have most of them on tape. I would love to get this one taped too. If anyone has any info on it I would greatly appreciate it.
Mostly I have to see how Mike made that matador cake! I definitely think there was some favortism for Colette Peters if he only got 2nd with that cake!!

I just searched on Food Network's website and can't find it anywhere. Maybe they haven't aired it yet?

I was the one who posted all those photos. I went to that event here in Arizona back in July. It was SO awesome to see those decorators make all those cakes. I sat there for 7+ hours ( on 4different days) watching them.

They told us that show will air sometime in November on the Food Network. Keegan Gerhard was the announcer and I got to chat with him several times.

All the other shows I saw taped will be aired in Nov too. They just didn't say when. There will be a Daredevil Sugar Challenge, Cupcake Challenge, Chocolate Challenge along with the Sports cake Challenge.

It was so neat to see all the behind the scenes things too. They had cameras right in my face( and my daughter's too) many times so we're excited to hopefully see ourselves on tv. LOL!

Hopefully we'll get the head's up on when the shows will air soon.

I am so jealous you got to go there! It must have been awesome. I try to tape everyone challenge they have that has to do with cakes. I LOVE Mike from Mike's Amazing Cakes too. I bet it was awesome watching him work. I will definitely keep an eye out for when they are airing that. I figured it would be later this year or next because it seems they don't air things until well after they took place.

Yes, and there are more cake challenges to come! They seem to be on a roll with the cake thing. They are filming several more this coming year. I will try to post air times as they come up!
