Hello everyone, I am wondering if you all add more pudding to the Betty Crocker cake mix eventhough it already has pudding in the mix. Also, what do you all do to doctor up a chocolate cake mix? thank you!

I add pudding to all of my cakes even if they have it already in the mix. I don't have any suggestions for your chocolate cake, but I am sure others do. Hope this helps. Keli

I add sour cream to chocolate cake mix. It makes it super moist.

If you are doing a box mix, add an extra egg and a box of pudding, even if the box mix already contains pudding. The egg and pudding makes the cakes taste much better and makes the cake a bit more dense, easier to work with.
Add a tad of black walnut flavoring to it and you have perfection!

I'm strictly a Duncan Hines girl (I know, all you "real cooks" are rolling your eyes!). I have added pudding and an extra egg to mine. I've also used mayo and a touch of cinnamon -I think the Helman's website has the exact recipe.

I've found that a pinch of expresso powder mixed in with a devil's food cake mix really gives the cake a nice flavor, too.

Good luck!
