In my current cake class we made a bunch of different flowers using buttercream. In the next class we will be using fondant. I like the way fondant flowers look, but my question is, which is easier to do? Next week I'll be posting my first cake!!!! Well, it's actually my second cake. The first one did not turn out that good.
Hi there. I'm not experienced with buttercream flowers yet, but I love working with fondant. I just made my first fondant roses a few weeks ago and had so much fun with them. You obviously have artistic ability--fabulous artwork on your website!--, so if you're good with clay too or with any kind of sculpting, I think you'd find fondant flowers easy and fun to create. Good luck.
It's a matter of opinion. To me, most are easier and faster in BC... but you'll hear varying opinions on this.

Thanks! I wish the artistic ability was mine. But alas it tis my wife. It's great being married to an artist. She helps me with colors and can freehand anything I want an a cake.
Ah! Well, you just don't know yet which way will be your favorite, then. I say, just start, and see which you like more.
