This poured sugar piece was made first with a design template cut out of playdough for the fire. The base was made by lining a small cake tin with foil then pouring the sugar into it. After they were poured red and yellow food coloring was put in and swirled with a skewer. OK, lets try this picture stuff agian.

Forgot to tell you how beautiful your design is.
Appreciate that. Thanks for viewing my photo. Not the best I can do, better next time. Well I did all that stuff. Do not know if it worked though.
Hmm, that's interesting! Playdough huh? How long did you boil the sugar? Mine started browning into caramel, but if I took it off sooner, it would still crystalize. What were your ingredients? It looks so clear! So cool!
Also, was it sticky when hardened?

Well you cannot go wrong with that. Jacque Torres recipe I have that one myself have not tried it yet though. Let me know how you come out. If I can help PM me or leave a posts.
Well I just read the Food Network thing and its about as clear as mud!
I understand the logic, but I wish I had a step-by-step picture to go by...or at least his end result!
