I'm going to try marshmallow fondant for the first time tomorrow and I have a question. Do you coat your cake with buttercream or a glaze like you do with regular fondant before you lay on the marshmallow fondant?

I'm really nervous and also excited about trying this. I'm going to attempt to put together an tilted cake for the marshmallow fondant. Pray for me tomorow night icon_cry.gif

Thanks for you help icon_biggrin.gif

I just tried covering the cake with it for the first time on Valentine's Day. A little buttercream frosting underneath worked fine. Good luck, and update us on thiswhen you can. icon_smile.gif

I'm going to try it too! I won't be trying it til Monday so get back to us. I really would like to use it on the wedding cake I'm making. Everyone says its so tasty! I'll either do that or the faux fondant. I've tried the faux fondant & it turned out pretty good. Good luck!
