I just purchased a Canon IP 4000 for $119 at Staples. They made a mistake and put a $119 sign instead of a $149 sale sign. So I went ahead and bought it as they changed the sign in front of me. My question is will it work with the copy kake edible stuff? Their site says IP 1500 and 3000. I guess I thought the newer model would work too? Anyone???
Hi! I have the ip3000 and buy my supplies from kopykake. I think your printer will work...however my best advice is to PM lisa. She knows EVERYTHING about edible image equipment and has helped me a lot!

This chart covers what you'll need for the 4000...

Do any of you that use this find it very useful and appealing to clients? I am just starting so I do not want to go full steam if it is not a good product? Does it look very good and work well?
The canon ip3000 is one of the best things I ever got for decorating. My customers love the image cakes! And the images come out clear and colorful. I have several posted in my photos. Also...it will save you lots of time when decorating. I had 9 cake orders this past weekend and used my printer for almost all of them!

Thanks Traci! It sounds like keeping the IP 4000 is a good idea. I saw the 1500 for $50 but could not pass up the $119 mistake Staples priced the IP 4000 for.
