Is there a difference? I was reading a magazine and they mentioned sugarpaste in one area and gumpaste in another...so it would seem that there is a difference. Anyone know?

Sugarpaste is the English name for what you refer to as fondant. Gumpaste is a very strong icing that can be rolled very thin and sets very hard. Usually used for making flowers etc.
