The Bride wants silk flowers under the wedding cake like there in line with the bottom board. Bottom board is 16". The cakes are 14, 10, and 6" squares, and 4 1/2" high. I am going to stack them all an a 12*12*2" block of styrofoam. Has anyone ever had a problem with doing something like this? Is styrofoam able to hold all that weight? The wedding is today, please let me know if I should use something different. Thanks Marilyn

what you could do, if I read your post correctly is to elevate your cake on 2 sets of separator plates on for the top and one for the bottom and put the syrofoam between the separator plates. That will give your cake a little more security.

I a "visual" person so I found your post a little hard to picture...but what I think the efect you want it for the cake stand to be like a bunch of silk flowers and the cake to be placed on top of that?
