okay, i know the holidays are not any time soon....but i should have my liscence by then and want to get the word out that i will offer cookie trays, gift baskets, and cookie bouquets for the holidays. my question is this: do you think i should make a flyer up and give a list of different cookies and options such as baskets and such, and maybe a picture of a couple (ink of pictures cost a bit) OR i thought about taking a few cookies with me and give the cookies and flyer, or brochure to different dr. offices and businesses. i really like taking cookies to people because they would probably remember me when they need something. what do you think? should i make gift cookie basket and take a picture of it and put it on brochure? i'm also going to ask my 14 year old son to help me with a simple web site, so i could possibly put pictures of things i offer on it and on flyer tell people to go to web site? then i wouldnt have to use up all my ink on flyer pictures.
okay, i think i've answered my own question....hahahahaha
but if you have any input would you let me know?
thanks

I like the cookie idea. Make some cookies, put them in a bag and place a nice label on it with your information, phone, email address. People will likely remember your name when they think of the delicious cookie they had!

If it wasn't for the fact that the flyer would be gone after eating, it would be really cool if you could put an edible image of a basic price list or something like a business card on the cookie. Maybe you could, and do a duplicate on a regular tag.

I think it would be a good idea to take a few pics of some of your cookies and put them in a little folder and then when you go to see someone to bring them cookies you could show them the different cookies that you could make for them.. I'd take a pic of a basket of cookies, cookie bouquet and maybe list the flavours, designs and prices..
I have taken some pics of some of my cakes and cookies and started a little folder..portfolio I guess you'd call it..I did all mine in a computer scrapbooking program that my hubby bought me last Christmas.. It is called
Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe and it is so easy to use and can be used for so many different things..I also used it to make business cards to attach to my cookie bouquets . I bet you will get lots of Holiday orders since you are starting to plan so early in the season.. Good luck and let us know how things go..

If you have a color copier...I would make flyers yourself. You could put a nice cookie bouquet picture on the front and then list what you offer. I would take samples in with you and let them know that you will be taking orders for holiday parties etc...A lot of businesses do Christmas parties and I am sure you would have several orders. Good luck! And yes...the holidays will be here before we know it! icon_smile.gif
