I was wondering if there is a way to change the pricing matrix to reflect specific things you use that are not included or remove things that you do not. I am not all that familiar with excel. It's not a program I use frequently. Thanks for the help!

I haven't used the matrix yet but I'm sure that shouldn't be a problem. I think it would be best to tailor it to your how you operate. Hopefully someone else can provide some input.

Abbey,

Just click on the boxes you want to change and type in the new price or whatever. You can also click on the box and delete what's in there. When you're done, it will ask you if you want to save it that way. HTH! icon_smile.gif

I'm working on a revision to the original that would allow input of your own recipes. Kind of stuck on the groceries page, though. If anybody is familiar with Excel macros, I could use some help.

You can definitely change it! If you are not to familiar with excel here is my suggestion.

Get a list of the items you want to Add (with price etc)
On the page it would be listed, find an item you want to delete
Reinsert the information for your New item in the boxes of your Delete item.

Just make sure to keep all relative information int he same colums

I hope this makes sense. If not I will try to explain it better let me know.

I have changed some stuff in it also. I actually added a page that has a list of my recipes. "Recipe Cost" Each recipe has the ingredients listed, then I broke it down into how much each ingredient cost for each recipe. Then at the end I have how much that recipe cost me to make and how much it yeilds. This works better for my thought process.

Also on the "Recipe Cost" I have a note next to my sugar cookies how much I charge for decorated cookies of different sizes. Eventually I plan on taking all of this and making a price list, but it is great reference for a quick "what is the price" question, without having to figure out my time everytime.

I also started another page that has a list of any ingredients that I use in baking. It can be something I might use once or in every recipe. I then have the most common measurement for that item priced out. I even use different brands sometimes depending on what is available or what the recipe is. So I have each brand of an item written down on this list.

Example: Ingredient Cost
Butter GV = 1 Cup = $.89
Butter LoL = 1 Cup = $1.03

I am still working on my ingredients list with prices. I have 3 different types of vanilla and will be adding a 4th as soon as my homemade vanilla is done.

I hope some of this information helped. If you have any questions please let me know. I am not that savvy with the formulas you use in excel. I usually have to ask my BF, but I can find out if you need me too.
