I have only recently started making cakes for people besides friends and family. I have been looking into cake boxes. I have always done cake boards only for friends and family. I was just wondering if you should put the cake on a cake board still for the support and then put it into the cake box? Do the cake boards fit the same size box?

For example, if I make a 12 x 18 x 2 cake and put it on a 14 x 19 board, will it fit into a 14 x 19 x 4 box? How do you do this? I hope this doesn't seem dumb, but I would hate to order a 1/2 case of 50 boxes and find out that they don't fit!!

Thanks as always. icon_confused.gif

yes, the boards do fit the boxes. if you have a "13 x 19" cake board then you will want to purchase the "14 x "20 cake box!!

Are you sure you typed this correctly, Diane?

If I use a 13*19 cake board, I use a 13*19 box. It all fits perfectly and no sliding around in the box.

They make the boxes to fit the coordinating boards.
