OK I'm sure I know the answer to this somewhere...this isn't exactly my very first cake but with DH home hurt from work and a sick 19 mo old, I have lost all common sense and cake senses this past week (not to mention sleep devprived). I am making a 2 tiered 6 X 4" and 10 X 4" cake for next Friday I know one cake mix will do my 6" but do I need two mixes for the 10? The bottom tier is supposed to be marble and I don't want to mess it up. TIA

I always use 2 mixes for a 10 inch makes it nice and high
