cant say I have ever made a cake with one on it, but making an actual one I have. I would think it cant be too hard to do it. A circle with stringwork from the outer part of the cake and web like center, topping it off with a few feathers and beads. You could use any of the tips #s 3-5 for the beads, if you dont have fondant, if you do you can do feathers out of fondant too.... what level of decorating would you say you are at? I am not advanced in any means but you may be and then you can look at marizipan and such to use.

Yes a buttercream transfer would probably be the easiest. Search the internet via google.com or yahoo.com and click on images and type in dreamcatcher in the search box. However, if you have time and want to experiment, you could probably make one out of fondant and/or gumpaste.

I think it would look really cool to use fondant for the outer circle and stringwork for the strings. Then either fondant or icing feathers with the leaf tip.

You could also make feathers from wafer/rice paper.
