So I am making a bob the builder theme cake for my nephew who is turning 4 tomorrow. I made Bob out of fondant, tool belt and all 2 weeks ago. I also made a tool box. I was actually ahead of shedule this time. icon_wink.gif Well last night i baked and iced the cakes. This morning I cover them with fondant and start assembling. I attached Bob in the spot i wanted him and held him there for quite a while until I felt like he was secure and go on about with the rest of the cake. 20 minutes later he goes air born and hits the floor and crashes to a million pieces. I want to cry! ;( The only thing salvagable was his head, the rest I have to make again. The party is a noon tomorrow. UGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!

Oh the joys of cake decorating......I feel for ya, just finished my baby blocks cake (two of which got squished 12 hours before pick-up), that was a total nightmare! Hey look at it this way, at least you have until tomorrow and you can be up until 3 am tonight with the rest of us crazy cake decorators! icon_lol.gif How long did Bob take you to make?....do you have time to do him again?

Oh, I am sorry that happened, I know how disappointed you feel. I hope you are able to come up with something just as fabulous by tomorrow. Did you get any photos of Bob before he took the leap?

I was going to suggest that you make Bob look like he has dug a hole in the ground so you only need his head but you seemed to have recovered. Well done.
Aren't life's little challenges fun?
