The MMF I just had a problem with turned out fantastic!!!!! My kitchen is a mess....Sugar everywhere!! But I added a little hot water...greased my hands and my counter.....added a dab of Crisco and kneaded it and kneaded it and kneaded it......it is now PERFECTLY smooth and tastes so yummy!!!!!

Thanks for your help....I probably would have thrown it out if I didn't have your advice!

I'll post pictures of the finished product when it's done!!

Have you ever tried making MMF with your Kitchenaid mixer. Works like a dream. No big mess!! Just have to wash dough attachment and mixing bowl.

TTB.....I started the MMF in my KA....I got a big POOF of sugar when I started mixing and after adding most of the sugar....it looked like my poor KA was having a hard time.....I didn't want to blow the motor so I took it out and kneaded this lumpy mess until it was perfectly smooooooooth......

I'm going to cover the cake right now...I'll post photos!

Thanks as always...

Try making a well in your mixing bowl with about 3/4 of the sugar...this will depend on the batch size you are making. I melt my marshmallows in the microwave in a big glass mixing bowl with the water then I add my flavoring, stir well. Then pour the hot mixture in the well. Start the KA on low. You may need to slowly push down some of the sugar on the sides of the mixing bowl. You should be able to increase the speed now, but not over low/med. Then you can slowly add more sugar. Mine always turns out great. Hope this helps if you try the KA to make your MMF again. icon_smile.gif

TTB which KA do you have? Motor size might be stronger than mine. I have the home "Artisan" version.
