Hi Everyone icon_smile.gif
I am new to Cake Central, and am looking for ideas for a bride-to-be cake. This is a party for her, not a shower.

Since her pre-wedding party will have relatives there, the bridesmaids have requested that the cake be "fun" and "cute".

Any ideas or pics from cakes you may have previously done?
Much Thanks!

Well, they've specifically requested no naughty or suggestive cakes. I saw a cake on a website of a cute fondant couple in a hot tub. It was a round layer cake, but had no directions on how to make the sides look like wood. So, I guess I need some specific ideas! Thanks for your help though.

Hi Cala, You could try those pirouette cookies on the side of the cake. I've seen them before on cakes and they look wonderful. They would kind of resemble logs though, rather than flat pieces of wood...

If this is specifically for the bride...I think doing a 2 or 3 tier round stacked cake using the color scheme of hot pink, black and white. You could put a pretty bow on top or maybe a cute topper with some plastic wine glasses. I think it would also be cute to make a 2 tier square cake made to look like wedding gifts. I have a few gift cakes in my photos.

How about doing some pretty cupcakes. I have made some flower cupcakes which are fun and you can make them in the colors that the bride has chosen for the wedding. By doing cupcakes for this party, you are making something completely different then what she will be doing for her wedding cake. Hope that helps.

I don't think this counts as a naughty cake - at least I hope not - don't want to get in trouble for posting it here, but it's a jacuzzi tub w/o wood sides, so seems like it might be a little easier. Naturally you would only want the bride & groom in the tub.

Credit for this cake goes to Debbie Brown

Thank you so much everyone! I'm new to this site, and feel such a connection to all of you fellow cake enthusiasts.
I am going to use the cookies as suggested for the sides of the hot tub. I found mini champagne bottles at our local craft store which I will put between the "cute couple" in the hot tub.
Many thanks for all of your wonderful suggestions. I have just started accepting cake orders after many requests over the years, and am a bit nervous. I want everything to be just right!
I'll let you know how it all turns out, thanks again!! icon_smile.gif
