My daughter's birthday party is coming up next weekend. I was planning on making cookies on lollipop sticks to give out as favours, but when to bake and decorate? The sooner I can do it the better. I was planning on giving out the cookies in individual bags, can this be done in advance too, or should I do that on the day? Any suggestions how to keep the cookies so they do not wilt?

When I do them sometimes I even freeze the cookies in advance after baking. When I'm ready I will decorate up to 2 days in advance with my royal icing...etc..and when dried (the drying part is what takes the longest, because you don't want to wrap them while still tacky) I wrap in cellophane with a bow. So....you can start decorating a couple of days before you give them out, just as long as you keep them sealed until your ready to put the cellophane or bags on. Hope that helps!
