Ok I needs some ideas. I am going to make a cake for a good friend of mine for his birthday. (he is like a father to me) I need some ideas. His birthday is not until the first week in Nov. so I have some time. He loves working in his yard and is a part time handyman. I was thinking either something like a yard with a lawnmower or some kind of power tool. Any ideas please help. Thanks

You are already off to a good start with ideas for your friend.

I would expand on those as no body knows him better than you do!

Happy baking and don't forget to post a picture of your final cake!

How about a John Deere tractor? Maybe a BCT version or even a 3D version if you like sculpting. If you're really, really into it, a tractor with a little hitch trailer on the back, with maybe a rake or something hanging out of the trailer....? You could do a small version of the tractor and/or trailer and put it on a sheet cake lined with a fence, and grass covering the top of the sheet cake. Maybe some long gras then a strip that is shorter, as if it were just mowed...?

I wish I could think like this when I have a cake to make! If I only knew someone who was into tractors...! Maybe I'll do one just for the fun of it!
