Did I see my sales flyer correctly?

Wow, I think I will have to go shopping again!

Yes they did!!! It has been out alittle while! I am thinking about a new KA myself. The one I have is the Pro Line series 5 quart ( I have had it 16 years or so). I was thinking maybe I should just get a new 5 quart so I would have 2 bowls, but I see now they have the 6qt advertised for $369.99 and you get another 6 qt bowl with a mail-in certificate. I will probably go for the 6 quarter!!

i just bought the 6qt professional series mixer and I love it!! I got it from kitchenaid.com. It is a refurb but it only cost $240 as opposed to $400 plus the shipping was FREE!

Yep, I've had my 6qt for awhile now and couldn't live without it! You can make quadruple batches of buttercream in that thing! Love it!

KayDay~LOL!!! I LOVE Hobarts. How cool would it be to have a floor stand mixer in the kitchen!! I've worked with them before and there ain't nothin' like it.

My sister bought me my Pro 6 three years ago for Christmas. I cried like a baby when I opened it up. I love it and it has definately paid for itself. I believe she bought it on QVC!

I'm dying to get the 6 qt kitchenaid, but I may have a better deal on my hands sp I'll have to wait. My sister just closed her pasta restaurant. She has an industrial size mixer (from the floor up, it probably stands 4 ft tall.) I could make two weeks worth of frosting in that thing. She wants to sell it for $500 and I'm trying to see if she'll let me give her $400 (which would be the same price as the 6 qt Kitchenaid.) Wish me luck!

I got a 6qt. a year ago and I love the fact that I can make 2 batches of icing in it without overwhelming the beater. I have a second bowl and the covers for them--worth every penny.

Last night I attended a class with Wendy Kromer--Martha Stewart's cake designer/maker for the magazines---and when asked about her mixer use she replied that in her commercial kitchen where she makes all of her cakes & cookies she has 5 KAs lined up in a row. She has a successful business--web & storefront--and is very comfortable with this product. She said that she's considering a Hobart but isn't in a hurry. I think that's quite a recommendation for KA ! Also, when I go out to the Wilton School for classes, the commercial Hobart sits silently in the corner of the kitchen while 6-8 positively ancient KAs hum on the counter making icing. I've never asked, but I think it may be because nobody wants the job of cleaning that monster of a bowl & beater--LOL!

Blakescake...I can vouch for those monsters we have SEVERAL that we have to take out every class...(2x a day) and clean them...

and we also have the floor Hobars too...those reallly are monsters as the bowls don't move...we have to practically climb into the bowl to get it clean!

they keep the 5qt mixers locked up in the cages..

I say....FREEDOM FOR THE 5QTS!

WE NEED TO LIBERATE THE 5QTS!...lol

I love my Pro600...got it on sale for $274.00 about a month ago from Hecht's and it came with a rebate free bowl. It only took about 1 1/2 weeks to receive the bowl.

I have my Artisan 325 and the Pro600 sitting side by side and I use both of them all the time...now I just need to get an extra bowl for the 325 and I'll be set. thumbs_up.gif

Blakecakes no, I'm at Johnson and Wales in Miami. I am waiting for my winter break...and I'm heading on up to Notter's.

I remember when he was further North in VA and I didn't take advantage of his classes then!

We are pretty much doing what he teaches at school now, but, I really enjoy taking the same class with different instructors. Other brains bring something different to the table.

I took the Wilton course with different teachers for a period of 5 years before I became an instructor myself!..lol
